“Political Science and the Israeli Palestinian Conflict”
A Programme Delivered by Israeli and Palestinian Academics
9–21 July, 2014

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is never far from anyone's mind these days, and while the mainstream media can certainly provide some of the more important facts and figures, the only way to truly develop a better understanding of the conflict's background and complexities is to visit the area and meet the people behind the headlines.

With this in mind, the Galilee International Management Institute has designed programme aimed at providing first hand exposure to various aspects of the situation, delving deeply into the issues through classroom lectures, study tours, meetings with people and much more. The Summer Programme seeks to deepen the participants’ knowledge of conditions, developments and trends in Israel and the Palestinian territories and to highlight some of the diverse issues at the centre of the political, social and religious divides.

The programme is intended for students of history, religions, political science and Middle East studies, as well as professionals interested in the Middle East. Registration for summer session is now open. We would appreciate you bringing this programme to the attention of the students and colleagues at your university.

A limited number of tuition scholarships* will be available to qualified candidates.

“Political Science and the Israeli Palestinian Conflict”

9th – 21st July, 2014

We are now in the final phase of registration for our “Political Science and the Israeli Palestinian Conflict” International programme, held at Galilee Institute, Israel. We invite students and staff members to register to take part in an inimitable, off-campus experience linked directly to your fields of interest and research.

One of our special visits will be to Juha’s Guest house, located in Jisr az-Zarqa, an Arab village, situated on a picturesque piece of Mediterranean coast. At “Juha’s”, a local initiative of a Jewish lawyer and a Muslim Arab entrepreneur, ideas and practice have been merged into a grass-roots venture that is having positive effects on promoting cross-cultural reconciliation and on uprooting the negative image that was previously associated with the village.

An additional Early Bird discount is available for candidates who complete and submit their application before May 9th, 2014.

A limited number of tuition scholarships are still available to qualified candidates. The scholarship does NOT include the Local Expenses Fee and the airfare.
