Questa strategia ha conseguenze incalcolabili per i traumi al minore e alla sua comunità e perché per l’accumulo di sentimenti di odio e di vendetta c he provoca nelle vittime rischia di compromettere gravemente la capacit&agr ave; di intere generazioni di costruire un futuro di pace e di armonia. \n Il convegno, aperto a tutta la cittadinanza e rivolto in particolare all e scuole superiori, si pone  specificamente 4 obbiettivi: \n 1)       documentare la premeditata azione di annientamento psicologico, fisico e sociale dei minori  delle comunità da so ttomettere, attuata  dagli eserciti israeliano e turco,\n 2) &nb sp;    offrire strumenti di valutazione legale, psicologica e clinica che consentano di apprezzare nella loro gravità la portata e gli effetti della tortura, e indicare gli obblighi dei paesi che hanno f irmato accordi internazionali contro tale pratica, \n 3)       promuovere nelle scuole progetti di studio e attivare relazion i e scambi tra i giovani studenti delle diverse comunità,\n 4)  ;     valutare come le istituzioni italiane ed europee possano dare effettiva attuazione alle risoluzioni dell’ONU sulla dif esa dei Diritti Umani dei Minori mediante indagini conoscitive, iniziative politico-legali ed ogni altra misura utile per far cessare la sistematica v iolenza in atto sulle nuove generazioni palestinesi e kurde.   \n Il seminario inizierà con l’esame della situazione nei due paesi considerati, che sarà documentata da autorevoli testimoni: De fence for Children International – Palestine, Reyhan Yalçindaǧ Baydemir e Human Right Foundation of Turkey che seguono da vicino la resis tenza kurda. Saranno quindi esaminati dal punto di vista clinico e terapeut ico i traumi dalle conseguenze inestinguibili delle torture, per poi prende re in considerazione come queste gravi violazioni dei diritti umani e dei d iritti del fanciullo siano inquadrabili sotto il profilo giuridico. Saranno quindi chiamate sia la società civili che le istituzioni a livello nazionale ed europeo a pronunziarsi sulle misure possibili per stroncare la   pratica delle detenzioni arbitrarie e della tortura.\n ------------ -----\nPRESENTAZONE CONVEGNO - INGLESE \n \nThe conference – promote d by humanitarian association Medici contro la Tortura, in collaboration w ith the Rete Romana di Solidarietà con il Popolo Palestinese, the UI KI Onlus and Europa Levante association – aims to bring to the attent ion of public opinion the inhuman practice of arbitrary imprisonments and t ortures on minors, taking place in Israel and Turkey. These two Mediterrane an states are currently trying to become European Union members.\n In th e context of the israeli-palestinian conflict and within the conflict betwe en turkish government and kurdish population, the imprisonment and torture of minors – often kept in the same jails of adults – are used b y the military as a strategy to demolish psychologically the population the y intend to keep subjugated and to reduce its power of resistance. Because of the trauma suffered by the minor and his community, this strategy genera tes untold consequences. In fact, it causes in the victims a growing feelin gs of hate and revenge that risk to strongly diminish the capability of ent ire generations to build a future of peace and harmony.\n The conference , opened to the public and specifically targeted to high schools pupils, ha s specifically 4 goals:\n 1)     to document the preme ditated action of a psychological, physical and social annihilation of the minors belonging to the population subdued by the Israeli and Turkish army, \n 2)     to offer tools of legal, psychological and clinical evaluation in order to allow a deep understanding of the effects o f torture as well as the duties deriving by specific International agreemen ts \n 3)     to promote study projects in schools and to activate relationships between young students of various communities\n 4)     to evaluate how Italian and European institution s can practically implement UN resolutions on Human rights defence of the m inors, by establishing specific surveys and by starting political and legal actions in order to stop continuous violence towards Palestinian and Kurdi sh minors \n The conference will start by examining the situation in the two mentioned countries, through the accounts of Defence for Children Inte rnational – Palestine, Reyhan Yalçindaǧ Baydemir e Human Right Foundation of Turkey. Later on, the clinical and therapeutic damages of to rture will be analysed in order to understand how these serious human and c hildren rights violations can be considered within a legal framework.
